Foran Performance Horses to Host Clinic, Charity Fundraiser
SANTA PAULA, CA – Equine enthusiasts from around the world will happily attest to that fact that equestrians usually view each other more as extended family rather than competitors. With this sentiment in mind, on May 2nd and 3rd, Foran Performance Horses is hosting a benefit event at their new ranch in Santa Paula, California to support the Rebecca Goss “Boo-Yaah” Memorial Foundation. For more information regarding this clinic and open house, log on to www.foranperformancehorses.com. For information on the foundation or to make donations, please go to Make a Donation.

National Reining Horse Futurity “Invitational Freestyle Performances Entertain & Inspire,” Reiner Magazine, February 2009, excerpt written by Heather Cook. “The NRHA hosted an invitational freestyle performance at the NRHA Futurity and Adequan North American Affiliate Championships Show in Oklahoma City, OK. The riders, chosen for their established freestyle performance achievements, performance in front of a boisterous crown in 2008…. A notable routine was the one performed by Rebecca Murray, a youth rider from Burbank, CA, who rode her horse in memory of her friend Rebecca Goss, a 16-year old reiner who died in a car accident in March 2007… The song heard during the performance, “If Only…” was written by Rebecca’s mother, Lisa Murray, after she’d had a conversation with Martha Goss about the accident and the pain of losing her daughter. Both girls had been close, riding together and being what Martha called, “All American California cowgirls…” . The complete story can be read by logging on to reiner.nrha.com. For a small donation to the Goss Foundation, a copy of the CD, “If Only…”, can be yours by Making a Donation.
